How it all began…
Coming from an architectural background to the hospitality business has its advantages. The owners, Nina and Željko Katalinić firmly believed in their vision when they first decided to create the boutique hotel, NINON.
“Travelling has always been a big part of our lives. Our jobs as architects have taken us all around the globe… Getting to experience so many beautiful places and cultures made us realize something: we want to share our unique backyard with you. This is why we created NINON, a charming boutique hotel located in our little corner of the globe – Brsečine, just 18km from Dubrovnik, Croatia. We have used our architectural experience, coupled with our local knowledge, to create a charming atmosphere that not only exceeds all of our guests’ expectations and comforts, but fits into the landscape as if it has stood alongside the swaying cypress trees for centuries.”
…how it continues
Aleksandar and Katarina; the lovely couple is the heart and soul of NINON. Katarina, the family’s daughter, was responsible for bringing up the project to life. Besides her Masters degree in business, she is also a life-coach and has a great passion for cooking. Soon after she found the love of her life in Vienna, the couple decided to bring their lives together and take over the helm of NINON. Aleksandar, also coming from a business and sales background, makes not only the best G & T’s but is a fantastic musician. If you’re lucky enough, you will catch a moment of him singing and playing the guitar somewhere around the bar.
“We are grateful to be able to wake up here every morning and to call this beautiful oasis our workplace but, really, it has always been so much more than that… We are inspired every day by the breathtaking nature around us, and the passion and love that brought this project to life. We take honour in having you here as our guests, and showing you firsthand the magic of this place. Our goal is to not only fulfil, but exceed your expectations, and to send you home with a little piece of Ninon in your heart.”
